National NCEA Certification Prep Class

The path to becoming NCEA Certified begins with knowing if you meet the candidate requirements. Complete the application with supporting documents, and submit for verification. Prepare for and take the National Certification Exam. This entire program can be completed in as little as 6-8 weeks. The Prep Class provides a review of the Scientific Concepts and other content contained on the National Examination.

9:30 - 10:20 am	Overview of Body Treatments–Laser light, Cellulite, Lymphatics, Body Wraps, Potions & Lotions. Course Objectives: 1. Explore body treatments found in the spa or medical setting. 2. Recognize commonly employed spa treatments and their purposes. 3. Understanding scope of practice issues. 4. Discuss how “body” products may differ from those used for “facial” treatments.
10:40 - 11:50 am	Cosmetic Ingredients Course Objectives: 1. Understand skin structure and function as it relates to cosmetic ingredients 2. Understand the changes occurring in skin structure and function when exposed to environmental damage 3. Understand common cosmetic and skincare ingredients and their function with the skin 4.
